Optional Toppings
- baby spinach or mixed baby greens
- sliced tomato
- avocado
- pickles
- sliced gouda cheese or your favorite cheese
Add the ground turkey, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and cayenne to a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 even patties.
Place patties into the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 390 degrees F for 12 to 13 minutes or until the burgers reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F when measured with a meat thermometer.
Top with any of the optional toppings, as desired.
For the best result, I recommend using 93% lean ground turkey. If you're using ground turkey breast, you'll want to coat the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray first.
Freezer Tips
You can make the turkey burger patties ahead of time and simply freeze them. Place individual patties in separate freezer-safe plastic storage bags or wrap each burger patty in parchment paper and then stack them in a larger bag. Label the bags with the date and freeze them for up to two months.
When you're ready to use them, simply thaw the frozen turkey burgers overnight in the refrigerator and cook them as directed.
