Air Fryer Bagels (2 Ingredient Bagels)

Air Fryer Method:

  • Add the self-rising flour and the Greek yogurt to a medium bowl and mix with a wooden spoon until combined.
  • Knead the dough on a generously floured surface for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and form each piece into a small rope; secure ends together to form a bagel shape.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 280 degrees. Once heated, spray air fryer tray with non-stick spray and place the bagels on the tray. Brush the bagels with the egg wash and sprinkle with the sesame seeds if desired. Bake for 15 minutes until the tops are slightly golden.
  • Serve warm as is or toast if preferred.

Oven Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Follow the first 3 steps above.
  • Place the bagels on a greased, parchment-lined sheet pan. Once preheated, place sheet pan on the top rack of the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • You can easily make your own self-rising flour for this recipe yourself by combining 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 2 teaspoons of baking powder and 3/4 teaspoon of kosher salt.
  • To ensure the correct texture for the bagel dough be sure to discard any excess liquid from the Greek yogurt before combining with flour. The dough should be slightly sticky. If it is overly sticky add a bit more flour a sprinkle at a time
